Much awaited, Long delayed Megapowerstar Ram Charan’s “Yevadu” Finally Hit the screens today. Since the day of its launch, This film is surrounded with so much hype for several reasons – AlluArjun and Kajal played guest but crucial roles, while Shruthi Haasan played as a Female lead, This film is produced by popular producer Dil Raju under his banner Venkateswara Films. Munna and Brindavanam Fame Vamshi Paidipally known for his stylish presentation of Action Directed this film. Devi Sri Prasad worked with Ram Charan for the first time in his career.

Story:
Run away Lovers Satya (Allu Arjun) and Deepthi (Kajal Agarwal) were being hunted down by local goon Veeru Bhai (Rahul Dev) as he too wanted Deepthi. Veeru Bhai’s men kills Deepthi and sets the bus they were escaping into flames. Ram/Charan (Ram Charan) avenges the killers of Deepthi and finally kills Veeru Bhai. Eventually Ram/Charan is being attacked by Dharma’s (Sai Kumar) gang. Who is Ram/Charan? why he wiped off Veeru Bhai’s gang? Why Dharma’s gang wanted him to be dead? How Satya related to Ram/Charan? forms the rest of the story.

Performances:
Ram Charan played role with two shades, One as a Lover who seeks revenge and the other as the one who revolts against Evil who tried to grab a colony illegally by killing people. Have to say that he succeeded to some extent only in showing the difference between these two roles. He played well during emotional scenes in the second half but he needs to improve his histrionics while trying to be ferocious in some action scenes. When it comes to Dance,Ram Charan once again proved that he definitely falls into the category where there are very few who can dance with grace. His dance movements in ‘Freedom’ song are outstanding. Pimple Dimple song also showcased his prowess as a Dancer.

Shruthi Hasan enters only in the second half and there is nothing for her to do with the story except for songs and she did her part in that area. Amy Jackson has a limited screen presence with a song and is strictly avg with her performance. Sai Kumar as antagonist and Jayasudha as Charan’s mother performed brilliantly in their roles. Infact the confrontation scenes between them are major highlights of Yevadu. Brahmanandam tried to bring out some laughs but succeded a little due to poorly written comedy scenes. Though Allu Arjun and Kajal played guest roles, they made their presence felt. Especially Allu Arjun emotes very well during the death scene of Kajal.

Positives:
Ram Charan
Devi Sree Prasad’s background score
Confrontation scenes between Ram Charan and Sai Kumar
Scenes Between Sai Kumar – Jayasudha
Action episodes in 2nd half
Interval Block
Revenge killings in first half

Negatives:
Lack of comedy
Little drag towards the end in the second half
Climax

Analysis :
Yevadu starts with a fresh concept but turns out to be a regular commercial entertainer. Though it is a tried and tested formula, Director Vamshy Paidipalli made sure to make it work and he succeeded Big Time to strike the right chord this time where he missed in Munna. He mastered the commercial cinema elements. When we look at story department headed by Vakkantham Vamsi, Yevadu has two different stories divided with an interval. But, Director cleverly merged and extracted desired emotions while elevating heroism at the same time.

Devi Sree Prasad’s excellent Background score helped big time. Editing is good barring couple of cuts in the second half. Cinematography sets the right mood. Productions values are nice.

Yevadu is a perfect commercial pot-boiler using mass image of Charan which satisfies not only fans but also general audience. Adding the advantage of festive season Yevadu will surely works Big Time at the Box-Office.

Bottom Line:Ram Charan Delivers again..But,this time Better Than Racha and Naayak.
Rating:3.25/5
