Raw Apple and Pear Porridge

This is a wonderfully refreshing breakfast, perfect for hot morning.  Its easy to prepare and seriously good for you!

RAW APPLE AND PEAR PORRIDGEserves 2

Ingredients

  • 1 large apple, peeled and chopped
  • 1 large pear, peeled and chopped
  • 2/3 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • maple syrup or agave nectar
  • chopped almond – optional

Directions

Blend the almond milk, pear, apple, chia seeds and vanilla until slightly smooth ( don’t over blend, it should still have a porridge consistency).

Pour into a bowl and add desired amount of sweetener.  Refrigerate for 15 minutes or until chilled.  Top with almonds and enjoy
