Ravensburger Wembley Dreams

Playing footy in the park is a great way to spend an afternoon, and this nostalgic scene captures all the drama and excitement of those childhood days. Set in the heady days of 1966, these lads have transported themselves to an imaginary Wembley Stadium, with nothing more than jumpers for goalposts and an old football. The boy in the red and white kit has just dashed past the defence, fooled the goalkeeper and scored a goal!

This is my latest puzzle challenge from the guys over at Ravensburger. It's quite a strange one for me really as I have absolute zero interest in football at all. However I would say it's more of a park scene full of young boys kicking a ball around rather than overpaid idiots on a pitch.

Ravensburger Wembley Dreams

It's a big difficult 1000 piece with the toughest bit being the green grass as it's all the same. There's lots of detail, as always the case with Ravensburger puzzles. The facial features are really well illustrated with very fund accurate detail.

The artist is Trevor Mitchell who is a freelance illustrator and painter.
