Ravens Release WR Diontae Johnson, Bring up 2 Players from Practice Squad for Steelers Matchups
The Baltimore Ravens have waived wide receiver Diontae Johnson just two months after acquiring him via trade. Johnson was unhappy with his lack of playing time and ultimately refused to play in Week 13. The Ravens suspended him for Week 15 and agreed to excuse him from activities in Week 16. In addition to waiving Johnson, the Ravens promoted Desmond King and Anthony Miller to bolster their roster. This move comes as wide receivers Nelson Agholor and Rashod Bateman are dealing with injuries. The trade for Johnson was low-cost for the Ravens, who also received a pick in return.
