According to Kikar, Rav Mottka Bli, up north with his family on vacation, decided to make a stop at the monument for the 73 soldiers who died in the tragic helicopter accident in She'ar Yashuv.The monument was the focus of conflict last week when Haredi tourists were photographed and quoted showing a lack of respect and sensitivity to the memorial and to the families of the victims while swimming in the water of the memorial.
Rav Bloi said that he decided to take his family to the monument and repair the chillul hashem done last week by davening, saying some tehillim and learning some mishnayos in the memory of the fallen. Bloi said that he wanted to show that Haredim do not treat the memories of fallen soldiers with disrespect and he therefore said tehillim in their memory.
