How To Get Away With Murder actually posted a series low last night, 8.4M and 2.6 in the demo, which was unexpected for the buzzy drama that just won Viola Davis an Emmy. This came off of a solid showing by Scandal (10.2M/3.2) and Grey's Anatomy (9.5M/2.8). Over on NBC, Heroes returned to decent ratings (6M/1.9), but lead out The Player (4.9M/1.2) definitely could use a shot in the arm. All of these sad ratings came at a time when CBS is only airing football, FOX aired a rerun of Scream Queens, and The CW has yet to roll out its fall lineup. Imagine what happens when actual competition comes around.
