When comparing Beaulieu's 2013-14 numbers with the averages he produced last season, we see that he's produced an improved ratio, and a substantially better risk/reward rating.
He's generated more successful puck-possession plays per-minute, but has a slightly lower success-rate. Defensively, he has produced more successful defensive-touches per-minute, and has a defensive success-rate better than the one he had last season, but still below the average produced by Montreal defensemen.
Beaulieu has also improved both his powerplay risk/reward rating and his ratio. However, he has not seen enough short-handed ice-time to have any accurate numbers in this category.
Beaulieu's takeaway to turnover ratio is better than the average he produced last season, while his scoring-chance ratio is lower.

Through the last 10 games Beaulieu has produced numbers above his personal average in almost every category included in this report. Particularly impressive has been his improved defensive success-rate, which has been 2 percentage-points better since his return to the NHL.
