Team and positional comparison with the Montreal Canadiens also included
This graph reflects the number of successful scoring plays each player produced per-minute played. Scoring-plays used in this calculation include; offensive-zone loose-puck recoveries, shots, passes to the slot, and dekes. These events were used because my research has shown that players who average the most scoring-chances, also have high contribution numbers within these metrics.
A list of all the metrics I track can be found here
NEW YORK RANGERS
As a team, the Rangers averaged 0.83 scoring plays per-minute in game 3, while the Habs averaged 0.58. The Rangers number was their highest of the series.
Dan Girardi contributed the most scoring plays per-minute among Rangers defensemen, while Carl Hagelin produced the most among any forward on either team in game 3.

MONTREAL CANADIENS
The Canadiens produced fewer scoring plays per-minute in game 3 than they did in either the first or second game of the series. PK Subban contributed the most scoring plays per minute among Habs d-men in game 3, while Max Pacioretty produced more scoring plays per-minute than any other Habs player in game 3.
