We know that the perpetrators - presuming there actually are perpetrators - are human beings, but that is about all. We know that these human beings attack other human beings, but we have no idea why.
The one thing that we do know is that none of this has anything to do with any particular religious faiths, neither in terms of the victims, nor in terms of the perpetrators.
