Ramside Spa & Mii

By Hellofreckles @tashajsteel
Hello Freckles Ramside Spa Pool Ramside Hall is known for the hotel, the golf course and (mainly) the Rib Room restaurant. When it was announced a spa would be joining the Durham based hotel, Ramside had to make sure it could contend with some potential rivals already in the area, or within a reasonable distance. I was invited along to have a look around the spa and play with the Mii makeup range; how could I turn that down?
I've been to Ramside Hall before for a family meal, quite a few years ago. I remember the food being pretty good so I had high hopes for the spa too. Driving up the winding road, it certainly looked great like I'd remembered and the spa, located behind the main hotel, looked huge.
I was guided upstairs where you find 14 treatment rooms, the beauty snug for all things nails and makeup, sleep sanctuary (which looks like the perfect place to nap) and the fitness suite. Back downstairs you'll find Reef hair salon, 25 meter swimming pool, bubble pool, hydrotherapy pool and thermal suite featuring a steam room, sauna and tepidarium. There's still some further developments happening at Ramside Spa and I'm certainly very excited to see the finished result of the Spa Garden - the artist interpretations look incredible!

'Beauty is about the confidence to be yourself' say Mii Cosmetics. As explained during my visit, Mii products are about enhancing your beauty and showing a better version of yourself. Whether that's through a different lipstick shade, having your eyebrows reshaped or having a full makeover.

The products look great - especially the eyeshadow palettes, eyeshadow sticks and the lipsticks! I've been using their Showstopping Lash Lover Mascara* for a few weeks now and whilst it's not waterproof (though I don't really think that's as essential in autumn as it is in summer, there is a waterproof one available too) I'm really impressed. It's not the range to look to if you're wanting full coverage, party makeup, but for everyday wear and even the opportunity to try something different, without escaping your comfort zone too dramatically, there's plenty to try out.

Ramside Spa boasts a range of treatments, that sleep sanctuary looks like the most relaxing room ever and their Asian restaurant, Fusion, serves Asian afternoon tea. Yes, I need to get along and see what that's all about, and soon!

Which spa is your favourite? Would you like to visit Ramside Spa?
