R&B;: Silently Screaming

By Tere Bernardo @terebol
R&B;: Silently Screaming I once read that the best answer
to ANGER is SILENCE... But what do I do with all the
PROFANITY screaming inside my head?
I have always been a silent person and I prefer to keep my opinions to myself especially when it wouldn't be of any help in a situation I am involved in. I don't hate confrontations and
I am not scared of them. It is just that I have this knack for hitting the right spot at the right time. I am a firm believer that words can leave deeper wounds than physical blows. I also have a good rein when it comes to my emotions. However, there will always be those times that I just want to lash out, shout and spill everything out in the open. This is something that I try to avoid because I am a physical person and I have a heavy hand. Violence is something I am really against, so always I try not to show my violent side (everyone has one, right?). These are the words that I keep in mind when faced in a challenging situation.
You are most powerful when you are most silent. People never expect silence. They expect words, motion, defense, offense, back and forth.  They expect to leap into the fray.  They are ready, fists up, words hanging leaping from their mouths. Silence? No. Alison McGhee  (All Rivers Flow to the Sea)
