Story:
It is a predictable story of an estranged family being united by the hero.
Performances:
Ram Charan finally gets to showcase his acting prowess in the film after some gap. He is superb in the second half sentiments scenes. Also all his scenes with Prakash Raj and Jayasudha have come out very well. It is the romantic scenes that are little off the mark but that’s alright.
Following Ram Charan, the biggest highlights of the film as far as performances are concerned are Prakash Raj and Jayasudha. They both have done many films together and the ease and natural relationship between them is clearly visible on screen.
Srikanth and Kajal provide the entertainment with their respective skill set. While Srikanth makes use of his raw village attitude and persona, Kajal scorches the screen with her most glamorous role ever.
Others like Rao Ramesh, Kota Srinivas Rao etc are also well cast for their part and they do well in their limited screen time. Adarsh is one person who could have been better casted.

Analysis:
Director Krishna Vamsi has taken a old story but has delivered a solid entertainer through his direction. The conflict is neatly established along with the characters and the emotional connect between them too is very convincingly done. The first half of the film is all about this along with decent progress in story.
In the second half the director takes an easy route in solving the conflicts which appears flat. But the performances are what makes this flat narration tick. Everyone comes into play and does their bit with great effectiveness. In the end GAV is what it is because of these performances.
Music is good and the background score is excellent by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
As has been mentioned earlier the editing is poor in the film. The transition between scene to scene many a times is very abrupt. Choreography of songs involving all the artist is very neatly done. Dialogues are adequate reflecting the content of the film. Sameer Reddy has done a fabulous job with cinematography of the film and has given it a very rich look.
Bottom-line: Controlled KV Delivers Decent Entertainer.
