Ralph Lauren is holding their “Give in Style” event this week – a seasonal event where they both donate to breast cancer research and offer a 25% discount on almost their entire Polo line. To receive the discount, just use the checkout code RLGIVE15 (it’s good until October 4th). Some notable items I found while browsing the site last night:
- Outerwear: There are some appreciably affordable outerwear pieces this season. I particularly like these “trekking” parkas and quilted jackets, which come to about $250 with the discount.
- Shoes: Unlike their other sales events, the “Give in Style” promotion applies to a wide range of high-end leather shoes, such as these cap-toe derbys, chukkas, and wingtips. I also like these penny loafers, which can be worn casually with jeans or dressed up with a sport coat.
- Knitwear: This Fair Isle sweater would look great layered underneath a peacoat or waxed cotton Barbour. They also have wool-cashmere blend Shetlands, although I’m not sure they really beat O’Connell’s.
- Shirts: Some nice plaid shirts in indigo and rust brown.
- Sale Section: For some reason, Ralph Lauren has separate sections for their sale and clearance items, but both are worth a browse. The discount code works on select items, such as these striped Bretons, quilted jackets, plaid workshirts, and faded chambrays (available in small and large).
