My KQ on Cinema is pretty low and self-confessedly, I don’t
write about cinema much.... !! Malavallii
Huche Gowda Amarnath more popularly
known as Ambareesh - is a film actor and a prominent politician from
Karnataka. He currently represents Mandya assembly constituency and is the Minister
of Housing for the Karnataka State. He did not campaign due to ill-health but
was in news recently.
On a different
ground, the list of eight individuals given a clean chit by the Income Tax
department in the black money case is out, but no high-profile politicians are
among them, as was widely speculated. The
list, handed over on Monday to senior advocate and petitioner Ram Jethmalani by
the Revenue Department in line with an order issued by the Supreme Court on May
1, includes the names of Prabodh Kirtilal Mehta and Rashmi Kirtilal Mehta,
co-owners of Mumbai's renowned Lilavati Hospital. It also include the
co-founders of Malayala Manorama group, Kandathil Mammen and Arun Mammen. The names were revealed a week after the apex
court on April 22 threatened to initiate contempt of court proceedings against
the Revenue Secretary, if its repeated orders over the past four years were not
immediately complied with. But
Jethmalani, who has demanded that the black money deposited by Indians abroad
should be brought home and the individuals be named, is not satisfied. The disclosure is insignificant – big fish
protected, a Senior lawyer representing Jethmalani is quoted as saying.
Rajni at Himalayas -
a picture circulating in web on his simplicity ...
Heard of Internet
Meme..... some on Rajnikant, the popular actor :
• Google won't find Rajinikanth because you
don't find Rajinikanth; Rajinikanth finds you. - His address is [email protected]
• Water boils faster when Rajinikanth stares at
it.
• Rajinikanth can answer a missed call &
can speak Braille
• Rajanikanth can delete the Recycling Bin.
• When Rajanikanth enters a room, he doesn’t
turn the lights on,……… …. he turns the dark off.
Every film of his
would have a ‘punch dialogue’ ~ from ‘idhu
eppadi irukku’ (how is that); Andavan solran. Arunachalam seiran; Singam
Singulathaan varum [lion will come alone] ~ things go viral.... and now the
present viral thing is his twitter handle.
On Monday, Rajinikanth became the first top Tamil film star to join
microblogging site Twitter and even before he sent his first tweet he had
nearly 17,000 followers; and when he finally did send out his first tweet at
around four in the evening, it was retweeted at least 5,000 times by his fans.
"Salutation
to the Lord. Vanakkam anaivarukkum!! A big thank you to all my fans. Excited on
this digital journey," the 63-year-old actor tweeted from his handle
@SuperStarRajini..... a few minutes after his joining, Twitter India posted the
message: "Vanakkam, Namaste, Salaam, Hello Rajinikanth! Please join us in
welcoming @SuperStar-Rajini to Twitter." Though fans were excited about
the star entering the social media, critics pointed out that this is just
another publicity stunt for his upcoming film "Kochadaiiyaan" that is
scheduled to release this week.
At the
time of posting this at around 10 pm on 6.4.2014 – he has 253669 followers.
Akshaya Thrithiyai is an auspicious day not
only for buying gold or property, it is also said to be be a good day to
commence any project. Rajinikant began
his next film Lingaa with a customary poojai at the Samundeeswari temple in
Mysore. Clad in a white silk dhoti and shirt, superstar was style and tradition
personified as ever and he was accompanied by director K S Ravikumar. Actor politician Ambarish was present there
too with his wife Sumalatha. Ambareesh recently had a stint in hospital following
a lung infection. Fans of the actor were on edge as the actor spent quite a few
days at the Bangalore hospital before being shifted out to Singapore. The actor
returned hale and hearty, but recently was at a hospital in Mysore. He was
perhaps staying away from Bangalore to avoid commotion ... still traveled to
Mysore to attend the function of film shows Rajni’s popularity ~ and the way he
continues to be treated by people.
