Story: Rain, Rain, Go Away starts when a young woman Clari (Lopes) gets her first tattoo. However, she experiences a strange event during the procedure. Meanwhile, returning home, she receives a call from an old friend Poppy. Although the call feels strange as they haven’t spoken for years.
This leads to Clari finding it difficult to cope with her own reality and looking for a way to escape. However, the words haunt her leading her to make a drastic decision.
Verdict on Rain, Rain, Go Away
Rain, Rain, Go Away is a horror drama following a young woman dealing with an unexpected series of traumatic events. It follows her trying to deal with things when a new unexpected revelation comes to life. We see how she looks to cope with the sudden news in her life.
This is a short movie that uses time to show the mindset of Clari as she deals with tragic news. All while getting an unexpected call that makes her question past events in her life. It shows the mind going through a spiral of emotions that are difficult to deal with. This gets to dive deep into the effects of a real trauma that leaves you shocked by the reveal.
Final Thoughts – Rain, Rain, Go Away is an excellent short showing the mind running wild.
