Ragi kheer for babies [ Finger-Millet Pudding| Ragi payasam]
Ingredients:
- Sprouted Ragi Powder – 4 tbsp
- Dates Powder – 2 tbsp
- Dry fruits powder – 1 tsp
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Hot water -2 cups

Method:
1. Heat Ghee in a pan.
2. Add Ragi powder and saute for 3-5 minutes until nice aroma comes.
3. Add hot water little by little and whisk well without lumps.
4. Let it cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
5. Add Dry fruits powder and dates powder.
6. Mix well and cook it further for 2-3 minutes.
7. Garnish with saffron and serve warm.
This recipe is suitable for babies above 8 months. While introducing any new food give only in day time (In the first half of the day). The new food can be given in any convenient timing, when baby gets comfortable with it. This recipe can be made using milk instead of water if baby is above 1 year.
