Viva la Coco was created by Racquel CoCo Mills. Savvy business women, model and college athlete. According to P.I.B music group and Always Therro magazine “Racquel CoCo Mills is one of the hottest up and coming designers”. With attention to style and detail she keeps up with the hottest trends, colors a fabrics. ViVa la CoCo has graced artists such as R&B diva Olivia, hoston’s very own Pop Sensation Hazel E Baby and Rapper Swiss Beats ex wife mashonda. Viva la coco has also graced the pages of ” signature hits ” manga for their success issue dropping march 3rd 2012.
A native of Jamaica queens Racquel has always had a love for Fashion & arts,but as a teen her love for basketball took over. It wasn’t until she graduated from Springfield Gardens high school that she realized her basketball career wasn’t going far and she decided to return to her first love “Fashion Design” . Racquel applied to F.I.T (The Fashion Institute of Technology) after high school and was rejected several times before making her home at Nassau Community College. There she earned a 2 year associate degree in fashion design. During college she continued playing basketball and juggling an internship at the CoolWear showroom on 7th ave. After graduation she started Viva la CoCo. ViVa la coco was name by a close friend of Racquel’s Rapper and entrepreneur Peter Nwajei as a joke claiming that Racquel was full of personality! And should have her own talk show called viva la coco. From then on Viva la coco has become more then a clothing line, it has become a way of life atttracting divas and fashionistas of every shape,size and color.
