Whoever votes Likud should realize that it is not certain that after the elections some individuals from [the Likud] won't bolt from there to another party, whereas by us - we will all stay by Bibi's side.
-- Minister Aryeh Deri (Shas)
2 points:
1. I find it interesting that Shas is now directly and openly trying to canvass for Likud voters, by claiming Likud instability. I do not recall Shas doing this in previous elections.
2. I am not sure why his suggestion and concern matters. We do not vote for specific candidates. We vote for a party list. The more votes Likud gets, the more chance it has of successfully forming the government coalition, and the lower the risk is of MKs bolting. If they bolt it is because Likud will have failed and another party will have formed a coalition, and by then this does not really matter at that point.
