He wants to stand on principle as an anti-Zionist, that is his business. Good for him, being willing to forgo $20k for his ideals. But, as Yoni pointed out, the irony of him fighting back against an anti-semitic attack on a shul and its members saying he won't take an award because the organizations giving it promote the idea of Jewish self defense and fighting back and that is contrary to tradition is rich
