In the past few days I have heard frequently as if the proposed law is religious coercion. It is important to clarify: the Haredi public has been a member of the ruling coalition for many years. Had we wanted to, we could propose new religious laws every single day. In practice, until today we have never proposed a single religious law that changes the present status. We do not believe in religious legislation and we advocate each person living according to his faith.
