I hate this stuff, but feel compelled to talk about it here as this is why I started this in the first place.  The problem is that in just over a year of this blog we’ve seen a bunch of tragedies across the country.  Newtown, the Boston Marathon and now the tragedy at DC’s Navy Yard just leave me in awe of what people are capable of.  I could sit here and ask how this guy brought multiple guns into the Navy Yard, but I’m sure we’ll eventually find out more about what really happened.  As we learn more, we’ll update but for now, let’s just take a moment for those 12 people (maybe more) who lost their lives today because Aaron Alexis opened fire on them.  Let’s hope their families have the opportunity to begin the healing process sooner rather than later.

If you want to read more, this NY Times article is solid.
