One more Friday and the third month of the year will be completed as far as releases are concerned. In the first three months as things stand today only Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Queen’ has managed to be a clean Hit in Bollywood, according to all trade sources. This is an extraordinary feat considering the fact that the film opened so poorly on its first day.
Ever since the opening the film has continued to grow considerably due to its terrific word of mouth. It has become one of those rare films box-office wise that has collected almost same if not more in its second week as well compared to its first week. It shows the king of patronage it’s receiving.
There were some high profile releases as well during this period but none of them managed to get the hit verdict forget about such trending. The most noticeable disappointment was the Salman Khan starrer Jai Ho which put a break to the stars consecutive blockbuster run.
