Verdict on Queen Rising
Queen Rising is a mystery thriller following a teacher looking back at her past to prepare for a new book. It follows her college years when she was on campus when a serial killer started picking off any man in her life.
This movie creates an interesting story following someone around during a serial killer spree. It spins the typical slasher concept around, by making it a reflective crime thriller, instead of a bloodbath. This works for another direction, but it does remove any tension behind Madison’s time at college. It does keep us on edge about who was behind the crimes and why there is a sudden determination to uncover the truth.
