This is my first time reading the author. I had no familiarity with the Hard Case Crime series before I read this graphic novel.
I enjoyed this graphic novel, the first episode in a series. The book is short and sets up what events will happen in further episodes.
I probably didn't enjoy it as much as I would have because I had no familiarity with the characters or events. The illustrations are really well done and I liked how the brief story has flashes of Quarry's past.
I did like what I read and will probably check out the other graphic novels and maybe even the Hard Case Crime books.
