PURPLE BEATZ is a coming of age, music-driven, romantic drama, set in the underground drum ‘n’ bass music scene of 90’s London starring Izzy Jones (Distant), Erika Alexander (Abattoir, The Wives in the Attic), Aron Von Andrian (Masters Of The Air) and Steven Michael-O’Hara (Frenemies). Written and directed by Lola Atkins, an upcoming, exciting black British, female filmmaker.
PURPLE BEATZ is a new British independent feature with a strong diverse, female-led cast and crew. The story is inclusive and diverse, a new take on a much-loved genre. The film had its premiere at the I Will Tell International Film Festival at the BFI Southbank and is set for a UK VOD release on October 24th.
