Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh Has Ordered Complete Lockdown in the State: Officials

The whole country is fighting a war against the corona virus. After Rajasthan, the government has also ordered a lock-down in Punjab. Ordering the lockdown, Captain Amarinder Singh said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the people.

In the last several weeks, a large number of people from abroad have arrived in Punjab and all these people have gone into hiding.

These people who have returned from abroad for the government have become a headache. The entire administration is busy tracing them. CM Capt Amarinder Singh said that emergency services will continue. Food and medical shops will be open.

CM Capt Amarinder Singh also said that the lock down can be extended even after 31 March.

Capt Amarinder Singh welcomed the decision to allow the corona virus to be investigated in a private lab. He said that it would prove to be a fast and accurate test weapon in the fight against this epidemic. The Captain has also requested the ICMR to approve a virology lab at Faridkot Medical College to investigate the corona virus.

In Punjab, there will be no ban on eating and drinking during lock down. At the same time, the entire supply of electricity and water will also continue. Explain that the DCs of seven districts of Punjab ordered a lock-down till 25 March after the Janata curfew. However, it has been extended to the entire state by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh also till 31 March.

Number of Corona positive in Punjab increased to 13

In Punjab, a person who died in the past due to Corona virus, six of his family and a relative have also fallen prey to the virus. As of Saturday, March 21, a total of 13 corona cases have been found positive in the state. According to a bulletin issued by the government, 40 suspected victims were admitted to the hospital on Saturday while a sample of 27 people is awaiting the investigation report.

181 people were screened by the Health Department, out of which 141 people were found to have negative results. One of the 13 people who got positive results is an Italian resident, who was admitted to GMC Amritsar after being tracked at Amritsar Airport and his condition is stable.

The second case is from SBS Nagar, where a 70-year-old patient arrived in Delhi via Italy from Germany. He died of a heart attack, but upon investigation he was found to be suffering from corona. He was cremated under the strict supervision of doctors. Samples of his relatives who were in contact were taken, in which samples of the deceased’s three sons, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter are positive.

Apart from these, the sample of a relative of the deceased resident of Hoshiarpur has also been found positive. All these people have been kept under strict surveillance in the hospital where their condition is stable.

Apart from these cases, Mohali’s 69-year-old woman and her 74-year-old sister have also been found positive. Along with them, a female employee has also been declared positive.

Another case is of a 42-year-old man who hails from Mohali and came to Delhi from London on 12 March. Those close to everyone found positive have also been kept in confinement and surveillance. Their samples have been sent to laboratories.

In view of the threat of Corona virus, the Punjab government has now decided that only 50 per cent of the employees of Group B, C and D category will work in the offices at a time after public ban on public dealing is banned in government offices. The Punjab government has issued new guidelines for the protection of its employees.

Under this, only 50 percent employees of Group B, C and D category will come to work at one time and after 15 days these employees will work at home under Work from Home. The remaining 50 percent of the employees will come to office on duty for the next 15 days. This rotation will continue till April 19. Instructions have been issued to make all the department heads sure.

It has been clarified in the orders that the first fortnight will be from 23 March to 5 April and the second fortnight from 6 April to 19 April. Apart from this, changes are also being made in the time of arrival and departure of the office. Some employees will be in office from 9 am to 5 pm, some other employees will be in office from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm, and the rest of the staff from 10 am to 6 pm.

This rule will not apply to these employees

The duty duty rotation rules of employees will not apply to employees who are related to emergency services or are engaged in prevention of Kovid-19. Such employees include Police, Home Guards, Jail Staff, District Attorney, Courts, District Magistrate, SDM, Tehsil Office, Revenue Department, Health Department, Medical Education and Research Department, Local Bodies Department, Rural Development Department, Food and Civil Supplies Department, ICDS , Transport, Market Board, Water Supply, Sanitation and Electricity Department.

Mobile app ready on Corona

In the Department of Administrative Reforms, a mobile app has been developed about Corona virus which will make people aware of the virus and provide information about prevention methods, tests and hospitals. This app has been made mandatory for all employees of Punjab.
