Pumpkin spiced season is here!  If you want to make your own our sister site Foodie Explorers has a recipe here.  It’s time for pumpkins, spiced lattes and woolly jumpers.  As well as PSL, the US has passed on the love of the pumpkin.  We still love you turnip but you are so much harder to carve.

Spooktober at Clyde Valley Family Park

Every child will get a pumpkin for free and you can pick your own pumpkin from 9th – 31st October.

There will also be a  haunted house, face painting,  a pumpkin carving workshop and much more.

East Yonderton Farm

East Yonderon Farm is in Renfrew and not too far from Glasgow Airport.  Usually, the place to go-to for picking fresh fruit, it’s now pumpkin season!.  They are closed at the moment, but keep an eye on their Facebook page for the October opening.

From 9th October until 31st October there will be pumpkins everywhere at M&Ds theme park.  Tickets are priced per person at £8.50 which includes a hot drink voucher and £10.95 which includes a pumpkin.

Under 2’s go free. They won’t qualify for a pumpkin from the patch or prize at the bash a pumpkin game, however, you can always buy a pumpkin separately when you get there or choose the ticket that includes a pumpkin (instead of a hot drink ticket) for yourself and give it to your under 2 to use the prize and pumpkin part of the ticket.

All activities will be outdoors within the grounds of M&D’s Theme Park for the whole family to enjoy including; storytelling by Folksy Theatre, bash a pumpkin game, a pumpkin treasure trail, pumpkin patch and the Pumpkin Express themed train – to help those weary legs carry back their pumpkin.

There are special sessions available for those with additional support needs.
