Strawberries and Screen, people watching a live view of Wimbledon tennis in Lewis Cubitt Square, King’s Cross
Strawberries and Screen, the outdoor screen showing the best matches of the tournament, will return to King’s Cross this summer. Will Federer still be fit? Can Andy achieve again? Come and watch the Wimbledon tennis action in London’s nicest neighbourhood, starting with the first rounds on 3 July.
Returning for the fifth time, and in its new home at Lewis Cubitt Square from 3-16 July, Strawberries and Screen promises one of the best matchday atmospheres in London.
The bar will be serving up Pimms and of course, strawberries and cream. Visitors are also invited to bring along their own picnic and find a spot on the Square or the Park to cheer on their favorite players.
Strawberries and Screen is free to attend and will run from the start of play at Wimbledon on Monday 3 July to the conclusion of the men’s final on Sunday 16 July. The four metre-by-four meter screen will be showing the main BBC coverage and will usually be closed at around 8pm, unless a key match is in progress.
