Writ application by the Public Utilities Commission (PUCSL) against the Ceylon Electricity Board was rejected by the Court of Appeal of Sri Lanka today (10 January), without a further hearing.
PUCSL filed the writ petition in the Court of Appeal against the(CEB), asking for an order against the CEB, requiring CEB to provide uninterrupted power supply until the end of the Advanced Level examination. The petition was filed following a discussion with the Human Rights Council on January (25) where the relevant parties have reached an agreement to ensure an uninterrupted power supply.
