Just a couple of weeks ago, both of these polls would have shown significant opposition to impeaching Donald Trump and to removing him from office. That is no longer true. Now both show significant and growing support for impeaching him and removing him from office.
This puts pressure on the Republicans in the Senate. Will they vote to protect Trump and risk the ire of the voters in November 2020, or will they vote to protect the Constitution and rule of law? Right now, I think they would vote to protect Trump, but if the public's opinion continues to grow favoring impeachment and removal that could change.
