A week or two ago, the American public was against impeaching Trump and removing him from office -- even though he remains very unpopular. With the new revelations about Trump pressuring the Ukrainian president to give him dirt on Joe Biden and his son to get the military aid voted for Ukraine by Congress, that public opinion is changing fast. Now poll after poll shows the public is basically split over the question of impeachment.
This poll shows a plurality of adults and registered voters in favor of impeachment by a couple of points.
These two charts reflect the results of the latest CNN / SSRS Poll -- done between September 24th and 29th of a national sample of 1,009 adults, with a margin of error of 3.5 points.
