Public Gives Dems A Slight Advantage In Solving Problems
This chart is from the Gallup Poll -- done between September 6th and 10th of a random national sample of 1,022 adults (with a 4 point margin of error).
It shows that 41% of the population believes the Democrats can best handle what they consider to be the most important problem facing the nation, while 34% think the Republicans can best handle it. That's good news. But those favoring Democrats are only a plurality, and there's only a 7 point gap between the two parties.
That means there's plenty of work to be done before the 2018 elections. That plurality needs to be turned into a majority. But it's good that Democrats start with an advantage.
