Psalm 11:4

By Robin Salvador @vinzsalvador23

Psalm 11:4

"The LORD is in His holy temple; The LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes everyone on earth; His eyes examine them." Psalm 11:4

When David wrote this, it was the time when the tabernacle signified the very presence of God among the people of Israel. He knew how glorious God was, and how all-knowing He was that He could see through the hearts of men. What's the implication of this now? In our time now, we understand that the Holy Spirit resides in the very hearts of persons who believe in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. To us who have Jesus Christ, our bodies become the temple of the Holy Spirit.

God sees through your heart. Nothing remains hidden from Him. God, in His throne observes every man and woman alive, and definitely sees through each of their hearts. Perhaps you're thinking that you're but a nobody and that no one cares about you. This God who sees you and examines you 24/7 wants to have a relationship with you!

That's why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to be the sacrifice for all your sins, that should you believe in His death and resurrection, surely you'll experience the fullness of forgiveness and joy.

To you, my brother and sister in Christ, this truth should lead you to ask the Lord to examine your heart. Just like David, he prayed, "Search me, God, and see if there is any wicked way in me." Maybe it's about time for you to ask the Lord to expose right before your eyes those wicked ways you've been hiding in the darkest closets of your heart. Perhaps pride and selfishness have creeped in. For some reason you've been tolerating yourself of some respectable sins. Let God examine you heart. In humility and full surrender, let Him repair what has to be repaired.
