The post mortem conducted into the death of the youth who participated in the protest opposite the Prime Minister’s Office on July 13 has confirmed that death was due to heart failure following a blood clot in the coronary arteries.
The deceased is a resident of Daladagama in Kurunegala.
After reporting the facts to the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court, the post-mortem was conducted at the Colombo National Hospital. Police in its report issued on Thursday night said that it has also been observed that this person was addicted to various toxic drugs and alcohol.
