Two Development Officers associated with the Teachers’ Service were injured, and four others were detained by the police during a protest outside the Education Ministry.
According to the police, the injured officers have been admitted to Colombo General Hospital for treatment.
The demonstration was staged in front of the Education Ministry, with protesters calling for the integration of Development Officers into the Teachers’ Service.
