
Each day Publish reviews {that a} fireplace incident in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital Friday destroyed a six-bedroom flat belonging to 1 Alhaja Kadijat Suleiman.
The well timed intervention of the Catastrophe Administration Unit of the Nigeria Safety and Civil Defence Corps and males of the Kwara State Fireplace Service, prevented additional destruction by the hearth at Binuyo Compound, off Sabo Line, Isale Maliki space of Ilorin.
Based on an eyewitness account, the hearth fully razed a six bed room flat belonging to Alhaja Khadijat Sulaiman with property price tens of millions of Naira destroyed within the inferno.
Confirming the incident to newsmen in Ilorin on Friday, the spokesman of the NSCDC within the State, Babawale Zaid Afolabi, defined that the hearth outbreak was reportedly brought on by electrical spark largely as a result of substandard cable used through the electrical connection of the constructing.
"Our officers from the Disaster Management Unit and men of the state fire service responded swiftly and were able to prevent the inferno from spreading to the nearby buildings," Babawale disclosed.
