Project Zomboid Save Location – Windows
All the save files (character & maps) are in the same folder in any version of Windows:
Save Files location: %UserProfile%\zomboid
How to open the save files path?
- Copy “%UserProfile%\zomboid”
- Paste it into the address bar of File Explorer
- Press Enter
Files: The character save is the “map_p.bin” file, the rest of the map_…files are the map saves
If you cannot find the files in that path, it is because you changed the configuration. In that case, from the Zomboid folder (which you reached with the previous step) look for the saves, sandbox, or survival folders.
