The young designer is crossing into new fashion-forward territory in NYC.

Whether you loved him or you hated him, there’s no denying that fan favorite Christian Siriano was fierce. Siriano wowed Project Runway judges at the 2008 New York Fashion Week with a twelve-piece collection of dramatic musketeer-inspired couture, which featured ruffles, feathers, and head-wear, and made him the winner of season four. Then 22, Siriano is the youngest series winner to date.
Now 26 years old, Siriano has come a long way since the days of Project Runway. Siriano launched his self-titled fashion line in 2008, which retailed at Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. Shortly after, Siriano launched the “Fierce Mamas” maternity line, also embarking on a low-cost shoe and handbag collaboration with Payless ShoeSource.
Partnering with Victoria’s Secret, Siriano dabbled in cosmetics, releasing a line of products entitled Christian Siriano for VS Makeup. Siriano even extended his brand to electronics, launching a fashion-themed phone, the LG Lotus, in 2009.
The luxury designer is further expanding his brand with the September 5th opening of his first retail store. Part of the Nolitia fashion district, the 1,000-square-foot boutique will have something for everyone and every budget. Where else could you find heels from Siriano’s affordable Payless line sitting beside custom designed, celebrity-worn couture dresses?
In true Siriano fashion, the clothing is “dramatic but wearable,” catering to a diverse set of customers. With separates starting at $98 and dresses at $150, Siriano’s apparel will continue to outfit to a more affluent clientele. Accessories and home items can be found in every price range.
“I have always wanted to open a space where my customers can shop exclusive pieces curated by me and my team,” Siriano said. “The store is a great showcase for the collection to be seen each season, and I’m hoping this will be the first of many Christian Siriano retail locations!” (x)
