Project 366 – Week 24 Another Week In Lockdown!

Posted on the 13 June 2020 by Sim @simslifeblog

Can you believe that at the point of publishing this post we have been in lockdown for a total of 82 days?
In some respects it has flown by, in others it has seriously dragged, but we have to keep moving forward as a change in routine is coming for us on Monday!

For now though, let's have a recap of what Liv and I have been up to this last week for Project 366 - Week 24!

Sunday

(No pictures) A day of rest... that also involved tidying up and cleaning!

Monday

Homeschooling is starting to become a bit of a chore now, a true battle of minds so we took the afternoon off and went for another trek up 'The Lines' to see the Totty Snake.

It has grown immensely since last week and I have even more favourite stones to add to my image roll! It's fabulous to see how creative some people are, all the stones tell a story for those walking by!

Tuesday

(No pictures) As the weather is utter pants we finally cracked open the Shake Off game that has been sent for review and it was just what we needed! The game involves a lot of jumping around and running on the spot, with a real competitive edge to it. If you have been feeling slumpy during lockdown, this game will definitely have you moving... and laughing! Check out Friday's section for details of the Shake Off Game giveaway!

I have finally done it... well, I'm 95% of the way there! All the panels for my blanket are finished, it seems crocheting at night has been the break away from screentime that I needed and now all I need to do is fix them together... somehow.
I state 'somehow' as I am not entirely sure how I am going to do this, but I will figure it out!
I've acquired some more wool from Aldi which hopefully will be delivered soon so I can crack on with another blanket. This time however, I will make sure to make it all in one section... thus making life easier!

Thursday

A surprise box of flowers from Moonpig arrived this morning, a treat from my parents to cheer us both up and brighten the living room. I absolutely love flowers... and anything purple so this gorgeous bouquet really did put a smile on our faces! I just with the purple flowers would stop falling off!

Friday

I needed to nip to the Post Office today, why is every 'normal life' trip seeming like a mission and a half? It was great to see everyone taking social distancing seriously (there was a queue in front of and behind me, with only 2 people allowed in at a time), however I was the only person wearing a mask!

Liv's teacher called us today - first time since lockdown began, to discuss Liv's return to school on Monday. Year 6 pupils will be returning for 2 days a week in little bubbles - it will certainly be interesting but I think we are definitely at the point where we need this break now!

It has been a slow work week, but I managed to feature another giveaway to Win a Shake Off Game!

** Update** we did go on a 5k walk up The Lines and fortunately the ice cream hut was open at the halfway point. It would have been rude not to indulge! 😉

The sun is shining and we are off out on a walk shortly, so will hopefully take some more pictures. I'm starting to get excited about the return of football next week now. Whilst Chelsea do not have a chance of lifting the Premier League trophy this season, it will be nice to finally have closure and great to finally see Liverpool have their turn. Next week will see life returning back to some sort of normal for us, so this weekend will be a relaxing one, whilst trying to arrange non-school uniform choices!

Have you all had a good week? Hope you have a fantastic weekend! 🙂
