Project 366 – Week 22

Posted on the 30 May 2020 by Sim @simslifeblog

Welcome to Project 366 - Week 22 and my round up of what Liv and I have been up to this week!

Yet another week of lockdown, I'm totally lost on the number of weeks or days it has been since we experienced 'normal life', but with lockdown slowly starting to ease from Monday, life seems to be on the move again. What have we been up to this past week though? Read on to find out what has been happening!

Sunday

A day of rest.

Monday

We FINALLY finished our 500 piece jigsaw, with only one missing piece! I've never really enjoyed piecing jigsaws together before, however Liv and I have really got into this as a fun, family activity and now I am on the scavenge for more!
We also finished our marathon binge watch of Schitt's Creek which we have really enjoyed watching. It's always sad when a good series that you enjoyed comes to an end, so we are now looking for more recommendations! I've started to watch SnowPiercer on Netflix, but I have to wait a week for the next episode - I'm far to impatient and I'm quite enjoying it. Come on Netflix, give me something good to binge watch!

Tuesday

The heating element in my oven decided to give up just as I was turning around to place the dish with my beef joint in the oven. Can you believe the timing! The last time it went was on Christmas Eve a few years ago, maybe I'm cursed when it comes to cooking beef! The day was saved by a lovely neighbour who cooked my joint for me (we socially distanced) and it gave us the opportunity to have a natter on her drive! I also featured an awesome giveaway to win a BLOPens Rainbow set on Sim's Life today!

Wednesday

The weather is certainly helping to lift spirits as we get to spend more time in the garden to relax. Seeing the garden starting to bloom for summer is rather uplifting, with me capturing this snap of the yellow Iris (below) in my garden starting to peep out (the shot was photobombed by a bee!) on Wednesday. I cannot wait for the purple Iris to bloom, the colours always look so beautiful and vibrant next to each other. The Iris plants survive for the fact I just leave them to it!

Thursday

Keto is still in full swing and I've been sticking to meat and salad for my one meal a day, following my own intermittent fasting routine and I'm glad it was easier to fall back into than expected.
We haven't been baking cakes recently as that would be torture, however Betty Crocker came to the rescue again with Cookie Mix so Liv and I can easily make cookies for her to enjoy and me not to feel like I am missing out!

Friday

Today started with such a lovely delivery from Aldi. I check their Special Buys every so often, just in case there is anything I need (or want) at the moment and found their latest Harry Potter range! We now have a fabulous stock of material, but I could not refuse this Harry Potter material, it literally jumped into my online basket! Liv has a collection of Itty Bitty Harry Potter characters but someone was missing... this super cute Dobbie plush fits into her collection perfectly!

The lovely Karen from Missing Sleep mentioned she as making a homemade lava lamp with her boys and it sounded like a great activity to do outside in the sunshine. With instructions to hand alongside an empty bottle, water, food colouring, oil and an effervescent tablet, we were ready to go and the results surprised us!

It really was so cool to watch and so easy to make! It's a great activity to keep children entertained during lockdown with no mess created at all!

Saturday

The weather is scorchio today, so I am signing off the end of our week to go and take advantage of the sunshine and topping up our Vitamin D tanks. Hope you have all had a lovely week!
