Product Review: Puma Speed Star

Product Review: Puma Speed StarThe whole concept of “lightweight” continues to dominate in running, but PUMA’s recent launch of the Speed Star brings the concept to indoor soccer. Inspired by our super-light Faas lightweight running footwear collection (“Faas” translates to “Fast” in Jamaica), the Speed Star will have you bolting (no pun intended) from one end of the field to the other. Whether you’re a pro, a pick-up player, or a college athlete, with the Speed Star, you’ll know you’re at your absolute best.

The shoe’s one-piece, abrasion-resistant, technical upper is not only lightweight, but also ensures durability, so it performs as hard as you do — and through way more than just a few rough matches. The shoe’s well-cushioned midsole provides comfort and support, while its non-marking outsole features flex grooves for added flexibility. A pivot point makes rotation quick and easy, so you can focus your energy on more important things, like scoring.

And the best part? Here are PUMA, we would never make you risk fashion for practicality. The PUMA Speed Star has the looks of a sleek street shoe, so you’ll always take the field — or take on your weekend — in style. Your readers can find them at Soccer.com.

This is the beauty of this shoe.  The purpose of my review is not to just praise its technology in harnessing the speed of athletes at any level.  In my personal case, there is no speed.  Honestly you can’t ask it to do miracles.  The shoe is great but anything multiplied by zero is still zero. But what is the purpose of playing if in the end there is no comfort with your shoe?

So to be able to play an indoor match with comfort and no aches and pains afterwards make this the first thing you have packed in your bag… it is an essential tool to continue your love of the game without damning your feet every single time.

At first contact with your feet, the Faas romances them with comfort.  The comfort as well as the look immediately draw you in. As i told someone when I first got these shoes, it was the beginning of a love affair.
