According to the report, released by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), "The heated mats have poor wiring and construction, posing a fire and electrical
shock hazard to consumers."
The Pet Comfort Pad Mat is a GSI electronic 50W pad with model number GKC2G002. Made in China by Fuzhou Senhor Leisure Products Co., Ltd., the mats were imported by World Class Inc. of Brooklyn, N.Y. They came in various shapes, sizes, and colors (white, beige, and pink), and were sold on Amazon.com between July 2011 and March 2012 for about $19.
