A probe has started regarding an incident where a police Sergeant had allegedly slapped his immediate officer in a police unit involved in crime scene investigation in the Chilaw area.
The junior officer had allegedly slapped his superior officer following an argument related to a request by the former for a transfer.
The Nattandiya Assistant Superintendent of Police has received complaints from both sides in relation to the incident.
