A death of a mother was reported from Ragama Teaching Hospital on Monday due to the alleged negligence of the hospital staff and the doctors. According to victim’s family members, the woman was admitted to the Hospital for delivery.
They said that the hospital staff and the doctors had not paid proper attention to her until her foetus dropped. The victim is an English teacher attached to the Pamunuwila School in Makola.
Her family members said that she had been trying for a baby for over 10 years and she became pregnant following a surgery. Meanwhile, theHealth Ministry yesterday said that a comprehensive investigations will be conducted into her death.
The investigation will be conducted to ascertain whether any negligence from the part of doctors or hospital staff caused to the death, Ministry sources said.
