The CID yesterday informed Colombo Additional Magistrate T.N.L. Illangasinghe that it is continuously investigating the incident of the break in at the Chamber of former Attorney General (AG) Dappula de Livera at London Place to trace the suspect and his white van.
The Mahiyangana Electricity Superintendent stated that the theft took place between 5 p.m. on April 8 and 8.30 a.m. on April 9.
This transformer supplies electricity to a nearby factory. Police say that parts of this transformer were stolen before the electricity supply was connected.
