(CNN) - For $ 250,000, Little Palm Island, a resort off the coast of Florida, can be yours.
The whole island - at least, for a limited period.
On Monday, the 4-acre island of Florida Keys, which would be the only private beach resort in all of the United States, will begin welcoming guests of a decidedly exclusive nature.
Three luxurious nights
The starting price of a quarter of a million dollars includes three nights on an island and up to 30 people.
Previously, the island's seaside resort was able to offer buyout for up to 60 people, but now operates at 50% due to current state mandates.
Big spenders can opt for a package totaling $ 1.2 million; personalized add-ons increase the cost of this already extravagant escape.
Whether for two or 20 people, the purchase price (standard or improved) is the same.
The variable is the proportion of the shared island. For those who can afford to book such an exclusive stay, the question is who to invite to the paradise island with its 30 suites, some with "its and its" individual bathroom.
The all-inclusive buyout at Little Palm Island includes gourmet meals, dockage for up to 10 yachts, water sports gear and equipment, taxes, gratuities and more. It does not however include alcoholic beverages throughout the stay, although a welcome cocktail and a bottle of champagne come with the purchase.
From snorkeling to scuba diving, beach barbecues and casino nights, Little Palm Island seeks to offer something for everyone.
Although it meets the concerns of Covid-19, the takeover is not a new offer - it just might be more attractive now.
The general manager, Kevin Geanides, considers that this option will appeal to the luxury traveler who wants "guarantees of cleanliness and social remoteness".
Although the station confirms that there are buyouts on the bridge for the summer, this is not fully promised to private groups, which leaves room for travelers of a different financial situation.
Suites start at $ 1,500 per night, no minimum number of nights required, but at this price, there is no guarantee that you will have room for yourself.
Getting There
Key West International Airport is the nearest commercial airport, and the resort offers motor yacht transfers to the island.
Of course, customers who have literally bought the island are more likely to arrive by private boat or seaplane.
Geanides says the takeover "provides the opportunity for a small group to relax together on a beautiful, lush private island with upscale amenities close at hand, and without having to navigate international travel."
