The temps here in New Orleans are already creeping up, and while they aren't quite consistently in the upper 90's yet, the humidity is in full force and you can bet the higher temperatures won't be too far behind. I tend to keep it simple as much as I can during New Orleans' dog days of summer, just because quite frankly it gets way too hot for any item of clothing that a. requires too much effort, and b. isn't lightweight and breathable. Thismidi skirt and lightweight top fits the bill perfectly for extra warm weather, and is still chic enough to keep me looking pulled together, and the skirt gets bonus points for the fun print. I've also been living in these lace up heels - the color matches perfectly with just about any outfit, and I can last in them for hours on my feet with no pain. That's definitely a win-win situation all around in my book. Doesn't get much better than that to kick off a Monday with.
