Charles, the Prince of Wales, has an environmentalist heart, has long sided with associations that in various spheres (including fashion) try to innovate the way in which man relates to nature. To follow British excellence in the organic supply chain closely, he visited Shipton Mill, a company specializing in the grinding of high quality organic flour. During the first days of lockdown, with the rediscovery of home made breadmaking, the mill saw an increase in demand for flour equal to 25 times more.
During the mill tour, Carlo examined a variety of freshly ground flours: Shipton Mill has been producing special flours for many decades, including rye, spelled, gluten-free flours, Einkorn and Emmer. Then he continued his "green" tour in Gloucestershire and as patron of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust (RBST), an institution that protects indigenous British breeds, also visited Guiting's Cotswold Farm Park, where the "Old Spot" pig breed lives, characterized by black spots on the coat.
The prince who, like his mother Elizabeth II, has one never hidden passion for horses, also made acquaintance with Victoria, a Suffolk Punch breed.
