Scottish food in the attic
Another new opening in Glasgow this week. This time Glasgow foodies can get excited about Leiper's Attic which is part of Cottier Theatre. The upstairs restaurant of Cottier has had a makeover and a brand new menu. We're going along on Wednesday to check it out for ourselves, but first some teasers from Leipers!
Leiper's Attic opens on Thursday 14th September and looks like it will be right up Mr. Foodies street. Lots of goodies on the menu including venison, dry aged beef and fish.
Menu
I'm drooling over the sound of the scallops with lemon, whisky, baby capers and sea herbs and the smoked cheddar mac & cheese 😍
History
So what's in the name? The Architect of Dowanhill Church, in which the attic and Cottiers sit, was called William Leiper. Not only did he design this building but also Glasgow favourites Templetons Buildings at Glasgow Green (WEST Brewery) and Patrick Burgh Halls. Find out more about William Leiper here.
