Pretty Bad When Obama's Lies Are Exposed By His Own Spokesman

Before Obama was forced to implement sequester cuts, fact checkers were calling him out on direct lies about the consequences of those  reductions to automatic spending increases, which is what the sequester was.
Then Obama's administration was busted by a leaked email denying agency heads the flexibility to implement those reductions in a manner that would be less damaging, and stating "So, it is our opinion that however you manage that reduction, you need to make sure you are not contradicting what we said the impact would be."
It is bad when fact checkers and email communications show direct outright lies coming from Obama and his administration officials, but when his own mouthpiece, White House spokesman Jay Carney, contradicts assertions Barack Obama has just made, that takes "bad" to a whole new level.
Obama told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos in an interview, in regards to White House tours being canceled because of the sequester, "I have to say this was not a decision that went up to the White House."
Obama doubled down on that assertion  in a closed door meeting with Republicans and attempted to hedge his bets by saying his decision to close down White House tours was "prompted" by the Secret Service..
Via The Hill, in a piece titled "White House tour move backfires on Obama":

Since the decision was announced last week, Obama and administration officials have said the decision was made by the Secret Service — which spends roughly $74,000 a week to allow for the tours — in order to avoid furloughs and other cutbacks necessitated by the sequester’s automatic spending cuts.
[...]
The canceled tours prompted a pointed question to Obama from House Administration Committee Chairwoman Candice Miller (R-Mich.) during the president’s meeting with House Republicans on Wednesday. Miller asked why Obama put an end to the tours instead of just cancelling the congressional Christmas party or the congressional picnic.
When Obama said the decision was prompted by the Secret Service, some lawmakers groaned in disbelief.
“Now, now, let’s be respectful,” Obama replied.
Yes, be respectful when I am lying to your face you neanderthals!!
Last week Jay Carney said  “In order to allow the Secret Service to best fulfill its core mission, the White House made the decision that we would, unfortunately, have to temporarily suspend these tours."
Yesterday, Jay Carney reiterated that it was the White House that canceled the tours.

Top all of that off with  former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino claiming he was told by his sources in the Secret Service, that the conversation to shut down tours was initiated in the White House,

"This was a decision made to exert maximum pain on the American people," he said in a Thursday morning  interview with WMAL's Mornings On The Mall.

One has to start wondering if anyone in Obama's administration bothers speaking to each other at all.
When a group of people attempt to lie, it generally would be a good rule to, you know, get their stories straight.
